Mrs. Heather Villano: Acting Director/CSZ Sponsor/Troupe 11042 Sponsor:

(Called “Mrs. V” by her students) started teaching in Katy ISD at WoodCreek Junior High in 2016. In 2018, she moved to Tays Junior high as assistant director. Throughout her career, Mrs. Villano has especially enjoyed building a sense of community in her departments and creating company traditions with her students while leading them to grow and discover new skills. Villano has nearly 100 directing and choreography credits to her name, having worked with artists and students from age 5 to adult on 2 continents, including her time as a resident director, and later the educational outreach coordinator for Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center. As an expat, she developed the first drama curriculum for the International School of Macae in Brazil. Most recently, she has served as a college audition coach, private coach, and Tommy Tune awards adjudicator. In 2001, Mrs. Villano graduated from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh with her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with an emphasis in directing. Shortly thereafter, she relocated to Katy with her husband Greg, and their 3 children-Greydan, Harrison, and Natalee as well as a menagerie of feathered, finned, and fur babies. Mrs. V makes it her mission to connect with each student and to teach them how to find greatness in themselves, and how to leave this theatre company, and the world, a better place than how they found it.
