2025-2026 Production / Tech Prodution Contract and Guidelines:.
Production class contract 2025-2026 As a member of the Jordan Theatre Company Production/Production Tech classes, this contract will serve to verify you understand that:
1. You may not participate in the run of any production while failing a class. (No Pass, No Play)
2. You may not participate in the run of any production if you are assigned a discipline consequence, such as ISS or OAC.
3. Being assigned OAC will result in automatic Suspension status of your Thespian Membership and may result in removal from the production class.
4. Students will follow the Social Media Standards set in place in the Katy ISD Student Handbook
5. Upon acceptance to the Production class, you are expected to participate in one JTC production per semester. Any major conflicts should be brought to Mrs. Villano and Mr. Cortes.
6. You understand that you will pay a production fee for EACH PRODUCTION. This fee will pay for show shirts, meals, and show supplies. 2025-2026 show fees will range from $150-$200 per show.
7. You understand that you must attend all production dates as scheduled unless conflicts are approved by Mrs. Villano or Mr. Cortes.
8. You understand that you will lose your position on the production after three (3) unexcused absences and / or 5 TOTAL absences.
9. You understand that you must attend at least two showcase production (i.e. Comedysportz, class play, etc.) per semester.
10. You understand that the JTC Calendar is viewable on our website at all times and is updated in real time. Conflicts must be entered ahead of time and made clear to the Directors AND the Stage Manager
11. All students must follow the JTC Handbook which is also available on our website.
12. Decisions based on cast and crew placement, officers, thespian IE assignments, all leadership assignments (i.e. crew chiefs, student directors, etc.), and all other decisions are at the discretion of the directors and are not up for review or debate. The directors reserve the right to remove any student from any production, activity, JTC sponsored event, and the company should expectations not be met. Directors agree to schedule audition/interview feedback at their convenience, but decisions-and other students' assignments or results are never up for discussion.
13. Production Students are expected to maintain ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP in Thespian Troupe 10042. This includes regular attendance at monthly JTC meetings, JTC and troupe social and service events and other duties as assigned by the directors
